Spectrum Health Services, Inc. (SHS) is a nonprofit community health agency whose mission is to provide comprehensive primary care services, health education, and social services to low income residents of Philadelphia. Two health center sites serve areas of Philadelphia where there are few affordable health resources for those without insurance or coverage through Medicaid.
With PCG’s support, Spectrum Health Services was able to purchase the Haddington Health Center. The new center will significantly expand the availability and scope of medical services to a predominately African American community that is significantly underserved, experiencing high levels of poverty and serious health disparities. The new site is optimally located at a major intersection and on a major bus line, making it accessible from all over the city.
