PCG is a membership corporation comprised of faith based institutions committed to promoting economic justice through community investing. Our co-sponsoring members bring their names, reputations, vision, values and resources to support its mission of economic justice and provide leadership in supporting the growth of a permanent institution dedicated to investing in the common good. We invite institutions of all denominations and diverse traditions to join us in our collaborative effort.

Lura Mack
Member Representative
Dominican Collaborative

Lura Mack has worked in the community economic development field since 1996, in her current position as Coordinator of Community Investments and Administration for the Adrian Dominican Sisters since 2003. In that capacity, her focus is on establishing, monitoring and maintaining partnerships with nonprofit community-based organizations, inviting and overseeing the loan application process, carrying out site visits with borrower groups, as well as general administration of the Portfolio Advisory Board Office.

Lura is the current Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Oikocredit USA, an international micro-credit lending institution based in Washington, D.C. In addition, she most recently serves locally on the Finance Committee of Hope Community Center and the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) of Lenawee. Lura holds a BA in Business Administration majoring in accounting from Siena Heights University. She resides with her husband in Lenawee County, Michigan.

Sister Mary Bernadette McNulty, CSJ,

VP, Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange

Sister Mary Bernadette McNulty is Vice President of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, a position she assumed in 2001. As Vice President and Treasurer of the congregation since 1981, her responsibilities include financial management, investments, and property management. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph Hospital Orange, past Treasurer and current finance committee member of the Leadership Conference of Religious Women, and a member of the finance committee of the Sisters of the Holy Faith. Sr. Mary Bernadette spent nearly twenty years as a teacher and administrator in various schools within California run by the Sisters of St. Joseph. She is a Board member of Taller Jan Jose, (a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange) a non-profit organization that provides educational (GED) and job training programs to enable low-income, at-risk young adults (18-28) in San Jose to attain the job skills to earn a living wage. Sr. Mary Bernadette is also a Board member of the Presentation Learning Center in the Watts area of Los Angeles (which provides educational services to Spanish-speaking immigrants from Mexico and Central and South America). She has served as Treasurer and President of the National Association for Treasurers of Religious Institutes and acts as a consultant to religious institutes through the National Religious Retirement Office. Sr. Mary Bernadette holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph's College in Orange, a Master of Arts in Administration from Loyola Marymont University, Los Angeles, and pursued graduate studies in finance at California State University, Fullerton and the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Sr. Mary Bernadette served as Treasurer of PCG's Board of Directors from 2000-2004, and her congregation was an investor in the previous Common Good funds.

Sister Nora Nash, OSF

Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia

Born in Co. Limerick, Ireland, Sr. Nora M. Nash was professed as a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia in 1961. She received a BS in Social Sciences from Our Lady of Angels College Aston, PA (now Neumann College) and a Masters In Educational Administration from St. Bonaventure University. She was a teacher at elementary level for many years and was Principal of K-8 for fifteen years. From 1993-2001 she served as Novice Director for her congregation, and since that time she has been the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. She currently manages the congregations' assets in Community Development and Social Justice, and participates in Shareholder Advocacy as a member of ICCR. Sr. Nora has served on numerous and varied committees and boards, such as Trenton Diocesan PTA Board Advisor, Trenton Diocesan Synod Committee, Middle States Accreditation Chair, St. Francis Hospital Board of Trustees, Coordinator of Heritage Communities' activities, and Treasurer for the Eastern Franciscan Common Novitiate. In addition to her many commitments, she enjoys reading, music, socials, and is a loyal fan of Notre Dame and Philly teams.

Brother Peter Tripp, FSC
Board of Directors
Christian Brothers Investment Services, Inc.

As a member of the New Orleans-Santa Fe Province of the De la Salle Christian Brothers, Brother Peter Tripp has served in teaching, counseling, educational administrative and financial management positions in schools in Louisiana and New York. In recent years, Brother Tripp has broadened his ministry by serving as a pastoral minister at a youth retreat center in England where he worked on the Senior program team. A student of Mathematics and Philosophy, he received his initial degree from the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico. His Masters degree in Counselor Education comes from studies completed at University of New Orleans. Brother Tripp has been part of the business administration program at Loyola University in New Orleans and augmented his studies at Tulane University and Pace University, focusing on accounting, economics, and investments. His experience on Catholic school boards, charitable trusts, and provincial finance committees, as well as top management posts in school finance and administration, has made him especially familiar with the financial challenges facing religious and educational organizations. Presently, Brother Tripp is engaged in ministry as a school counselor at St. Paul's School in Covington, LA, and, frequently tapped as an adviser to provincial administration on finances, also chairs the province's finance committee and serves as a Trustee on the Christian Brothers Charitable Trust in Romeoville, IL and also the Christian Brothers Retirement Trust in New Orleans, LA.  Brother Tripp is a member of the Board of Directors of Christian Brothers Investment Services (CBIS).

Sister Maureen Welsh, SHCJ

Society of the Holy Child Jesus

Sister Maureen Welsh has recently been tapped for various task forces of the Sisters of the Holy Child, currently representing the American Province in a coalition for responsible investing. While at the College Board (College Entrance Examination Board) in New York City from 1997-2002, Sister Maureen managed long-range planning, budgeting, and reporting activities; coordinated management and associational services; and facilitated a major advisory council. Previously, while directing school services at the College Board, she created materials/activities to increase the number of students (disadvantaged because of poverty, disability, English proficiency, and/or academic achievement) who were prepared for, and knowledgeable about, college. As director of the College Board’s largest assessment program from 1984-1997, Sr. Maureen implemented major changes in test content, scores, reports, and communications for millions of students and thousands of educators. Having earned an undergraduate degree (Humanities) from Villanova University as well as graduate degrees (Education) from Villanova University and the University of Pennsylvania, Sr. Maureen initiated/directed college counseling services at a new diocesan secondary school, after serving as administrator and teacher at a School of the Holy Child in New York, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. 

Sr. Marguerite O'Brien
Congregation of St. Joseph

Sister Marguerite O’Brien is Treasurer and is a member of the leadership team of the Congregation of St. Joseph. Sr. Marguerite has overseen the merger of finances of seven religious communities that formed the new Congregation of St. Joseph in 2007. Most of Sr. Marguerite’s life has been spent in West Virginia – growing up, studying and entering the Wheeling congregation, and ministering. Sr. Marguerite’s undergraduate degree is in chemistry, and after teaching high school science she became a licensed Medical Technologist. She returned to the classroom as a faculty member at Fairmount State College and Wheeling Jesuit University where she taught Medical Technology and served as a Residential Counselor overseeing campus resident life for 15 years. During the 1980’s, Sr. Marguerite served as Vocation Director until she was called to leadership to the congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Wheeling. She served as Vice President and later President of the Wheeling congregation. She has graduate degrees in Clinical Chemistry from Ohio State University and Liturgy from the University of Notre Dame.
